Ben Jones Labour Candidate for Odiham ward, Hart District Council
Ben moved here after qualifying as a secondary school teacher in 2012. Settling into such a wonderful community here, he has since married and lives locally with two young children. Ben believes in Labour values: making sure that all people are better off, can live and participate in vibrant and safe communities, and have the opportunities they need to prosper – wherever they live and whatever their background. Local government, and Hart District Council, have an important role to play in that. Ben is standing to provide an important Labour voice and Labour action to support our community.

Ben’s pledges to you
If elected as councillor, I pledge to work on your behalf on these and other issues which concern you, as a resident of our town:
Fight Hartley Wintney tip closure
Flytipping blights our community. We should be making it easier, not harder, to legally dispose of waste
Prevent poor roads and potholes
I will fight for better planning: if a service provider needs to dig up a road or pavement, they should restore it properly so it doesn’t break up later.
Working hard for you
I will be available to residents, and active year-round, working for, and representing you
Considerate development
We need housing for the younger generation, but the council must ensure the environment is protected and infrastructure matches development.
